Take TradingView, if
- You need charts and bar replay — that is their trade
- You write scripts and live inside their environment
- You do not need a journal at all
A comparison we largely do not take part in: TradingView is charts and bar replay, not a journal.

Short version
Honestly
We lose here: we have no replay of history. Plenty of people keep both, and that's a sensible answer.
They have quotes from around the world. We keep no price database of our own and do not pretend to: the replay runs on your history and on the data you brought.

| What is compared | AQREVIA journal, prop tracker and copier in the browser | TradingViewCharts and bar replaytheir site |
|---|---|---|
| Trades record themselvesNobody quits a journal from laziness — they quit in a losing week. Anything that needs typing in the evening does not survive it. | 29 platforms, three ways | |
| Metrics computed by an engine under testA spreadsheet formula breaks quietly: it slips a row, and a month is computed wrong while looking right. | A drift breaks the build | |
| Bar-by-bar replayWe lose to both here: that is their trade, while our replay runs over trades rather than bars. | ||
| The test meets the real recordThe curve on history lives in one tool and your trading in another. Nobody measures the distance between them. | 'What if' on your own trades | There is no journal inside |
| The data stays yoursThe row where a spreadsheet beats any cloud — ours included, at launch. We give each account its own database and an export at any moment; a file on your own disk comes with the local version. | Own database per account, export at any moment | |
| What it costsFor the do-it-yourself options the price is not money: it is upkeep time and quiet formula errors. | Free $0, paid plans at launch | A subscription; not verified |
In substance
TradingView shows what the market did. A journal shows what you did. A product promising to replace both usually does both halves worse — which is why we connect to it as a platform rather than argue with it as a competitor.
The answer to which of your plays is carrying the month and which is quietly paying for it. That is computed from your trades rather than from candles, and it is exactly what a journal is for.
Questions
Yes. TradingView alerts arrive at your webhook, and our MetaTrader 5 advisor can execute them. For us TradingView is a platform we read from.
Usually yes, and that is a straight answer rather than an evasive one. They draw the market, we compute your trading — the jobs do not overlap.
