Take FX Replay, if
- You drill entries on the bar rather than review your own trading
- You want hours of history practice before a live account
FX Replay replays history bar by bar and does it better than we do. The question is not which of the two, but what you actually want to test.

Short version
Honestly
It's their whole job, and they're stronger at it. We answer a different question, on your real trades: what you do after two stops in a row.
Row by row
| What is compared | AQREVIA journal, prop tracker and copier in the browser | FX ReplayBar replaytheir site |
|---|---|---|
| Trades record themselvesNobody quits a journal from laziness — they quit in a losing week. Anything that needs typing in the evening does not survive it. | 29 platforms, three ways | |
| Metrics computed by an engine under testA spreadsheet formula breaks quietly: it slips a row, and a month is computed wrong while looking right. | A drift breaks the build | |
| Bar-by-bar replayWe lose to both here: that is their trade, while our replay runs over trades rather than bars. | ||
| The test meets the real recordThe curve on history lives in one tool and your trading in another. Nobody measures the distance between them. | 'What if' on your own trades | There is no journal inside |
| The data stays yoursThe row where a spreadsheet beats any cloud — ours included, at launch. We give each account its own database and an export at any moment; a file on your own disk comes with the local version. | Own database per account, export at any moment | |
| What it costsFor the do-it-yourself options the price is not money: it is upkeep time and quiet formula errors. | Free $0, paid plans at launch | A subscription; not verified |
In substance
An idea drew a nice curve and stayed in that tool. How you actually trade the same idea is known to the journal, and the journal is in another window. Nobody measures the distance between as-designed and as-executed because there is nothing to measure it with — here it is one scale.
The lab recomputes your real trades under other rules: a ×1.5 target, a day stop, your own rules without the breaks. Trades whose outcome the journal can't know are marked 'unknown'.
Questions
No. For practice on bars you want FX Replay; its trade export can be loaded into our backtests and reviewed with the same engine as live trading.
