AQREVI vs Notion

Notion is an excellent notes database in which people assemble a journal by hand. The comparison is honest about exactly one thing: what it costs you in time.

What this product is

A universal notes database from which anything can be assembled — including a journal that looks exactly the way you wanted it.

Short version

Which to choose

Take Notion, if

  • It matters that the journal looks exactly your way
  • You trade rarely, and typing ten trades a month costs nothing
  • The journal is part of a larger personal system already living there
  • You need phone access and sharing by link

Take AQREVI, if

  • You trade enough that manual entry falls apart
  • You need metrics computed by an engine, not by a formula in a property
  • You run prop challenges
  • You want your own database per account and a one-click export

Honestly

Where they are stronger

Flexibility we do not have

In Notion you build exactly the screen you imagined. Our board is built from 69 ready widgets and your own metrics, but you can't assemble an arbitrary page from blocks. If you need full freedom of form, Notion is stronger.

Everything else is already there

If your tasks, notes and plans live in Notion, a journal beside them is one window instead of two. We do not replace that and do not try.

In substance

Where the architectures diverge, not the descriptions

Manual entry does not break from laziness

It breaks in a losing week: the typing is due exactly when you least want to do it. A skipped day becomes a skipped week, and the unrecorded stretch is precisely the one worth reviewing. Here the broker writes the factual half — what is left for you is one line about why you entered.

A formula in a property is not an engine

You can compute expectancy and R-multiple in Notion. There is nothing to check them with: a formula breaks quietly and can drift from reality on any schema edit. Ours is an engine under test, and a drift breaks the build rather than arriving in your report.

Questions

What people ask about this pair

I already built a journal in Notion. Can I move it?

Yes: export the database to CSV and import it here. The column mapping is picked up automatically or done once by hand.

Is your product as flexible?

Partly. You build the board yourself from 69 widgets and describe your own metrics in a phrase. You can't assemble an arbitrary page from blocks the way Notion does.
